Robert De Niro stars as David 'Noodles' Aaronson, an old gangster who is returning to Renewed York after 35 years in retort to a mysterious invitation. He has burnt- half his life away, having fled the metropolis in fear for his vigour after having betrayed his friends to the authorities.
